Yikes! Link Population Explosion! (& other things)

Wow - we get busy for a while, come back to start checking links - and the  number of links have EXPLODED!

At the same time, summaries exist for these links, but there are no descriptions for the pages...

Is this a new initiative from the BT folks, or a new poster?

And either way, should we start going through the now 218 pages of links and start adding the descriptions to make this easier for folks?

Another thing - it might be a good thing to offer the visitor a chance to select how many items they wish to see per page - that 218 page thing at 10 items a page could seem daunting...

Also, at sign in wouldn't it be a good idea to give the registered user a notification of new items and new forum fosts since their last visit?

Just some random thoughts there... many more to come...

P.S. Posted topics and replies no longer list the poster. Need to fix that one... ;)

Hey ACL,

Yep - we've been hard at work adding more sites and tools. We just added a bazillion venues.

We'll add the forum bug (not displaying names) to the list!

D'oh - quick update on this: we just hid a bazillion venues.

We want to get the search functionality right so the information is useable. A list of venues in alphabetical order or rating isn't helpful. There's so many venues that we need to create a way for users to find and track the ones their interested in a better way. We're thinking zip code or map. We're working on it...!
