There are many sites that allow people to upload links and share their favorite websites or news items - publicly. These sites are usually places where people go to find new and interesting things. Your band and music can be uploaded, "dug", or "stumbledupon" as well. Maintaining a web presence to promote your own music on these sites is not encouraged, but participating as yourself is.
