Webcasts

Unlike podcasts, which are downloadable MP3 files, webcasts stream music to your music player much like a radio station streams music over the airwaves. Unfortunately, webcasts were seen as competition to terrestrial radio and so they've been heavily regulated into obscurity. Most webcasters today are traditional radio stations that simulcast their shows through this technolgy and are closed to indies. Still, there are some webcasts that only exist on the internet and accept submissions from indies.
