Directions

1. Clear your album art for commercial use to avoid legal troubles.

Make sure that all payments and royalties are handled for the artwork, if necessary. Double check that royalty free images are cleared for your use.

2. Look at our category of CD Print on Demand shops.

These companies let you order CDs are they are sold, so you never have to pay for extras. We have made a list of On Demand stores that will help you set up. You don't need to duplicate 1000s of CDs anymore. There are now services that will print your CD on demand - when a customer actually orders it. Usually these services allow you to order your own CDs at a discount so you can have an inventory on hand for live shows.

3. Pick a store and then get album art templates or use their online design services.

You need to use their specific template to make sure the CD turns out just right. Since you aren't ordering physical CDs for yourself, you won't know what they look like before getting shipped to fans. You need to follow all directions to make sure the album will look right.  It's also a good idea to order one for yourself, to get a proof.

4. Find out the preferred formats for the art and text on the album and CD and send them to the printer.

Sometimes different formats are required for each part of the CD. In order for them to get printed correctly, you need to use the approved formats of the particular printer you have chosen.

5. Promote the CD on your website with links and banners.

Add banners and links to your website and social networking pages in order to promote the CD.
