Directions
1. Choose a distinctive color palette, fonts, and mascot.
Your band's signature colors should work well together and complement each other. These should also be pantone colors which work well for later creating merch like T-shirts.
2. Create your logo as a line drawing in layered vector format.
Your logo should be a line drawing and not a photo image as that is easier to resize. Some good tools for this are Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or GIMP. If you can't save it to a vector based format, save it at the highest resolution possible. You can always downsize the image later, you can never scale up the image without a loss of image quality.
3. Render image in GIF and PNG formats.
These formats are more appropriate for line drawings on the web.
4. Add the logo to your website under a press section.
Press and bookers should be able to easily find your logo on your site, so they can use it on their sites or for other promotional things like posters.
