ccMixter is an incredibly useful site where you can both find samples to use in your own music, and put up your own samples to get your name out there. Note that the samples are licensed under Creative Commons licenses, which usually has limiations on its use that could impact what you would do with any songs that you include later. This can work to your own advantage as well. If you, for example, added some songs into ccMixter, and they are used, you can still sell them yourself, and anything that the ones using your music make must ask you permission before selling it, potentially giving you a cut later.
