College aged music fans are some of the most frequent and enthusiastic live show attendees. The Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities can help you secure gigs at regional and national college campus events.
You can post your resume and links to your press kit for university event planners to find. You can even post your tour schedule so colleges can try to book you along your route. Also, search through job listings and apply directly for gigs that sound good! The association hosts yearly conferences and workshops all over the US where you can apply to play in a showcase. These gigs will expose you to the very people who plan campus concerts.

did first APCA conference last year, got ten gigs. Helpful people, but college kids are the buyers and are hard to catch on teh phone sometimes. bring your own gear, they lots of times don't have a clue when setting up for a show. Be prepared for weird locations, cafeterias and stuff. Good money. I just did it on my own, saved agent fees, was pretty easy to register for showcase on their website.
