Built primarily around Sony's mixing and composing application, ACID, ACIDplanet.com has grown to allow users to create and upload your own music and videos or remix others' music. In addition, there's a forum for interacting with other musicians and video artists, "to collaborate, to listen, to watch, to correspond and get involved."
The site offers a free trial version of ACID called ACID XPress and provides free loops and sound samples (with new content released each week). Additionally, the site allows a free trial version of Vegas Movie Studio software (a video editor program) and Vegas software (it's all-in-one professional editing and video solution).
