Second Life is a 3-D virtual world entirely created by its residents. Since opening to the public in 2003, it has grown explosively and today is inhabited by millions of Residents from around the globe. Because there are so many people on this service, and it's a way to congregate people online, it has become a place for musicians to hold concerts and reach their fans in a new way, no matter where in the world they are located.
