The site has a built-in tuner so you can hear each individual note and then tune your guitar accordingly. There is also a separate bass tuner as well. After you have tuned up, read lessons that introduce you to guitar basics like scales, music theory, and strumming patterns. The Chordbot will help you figure out how to play chords of all types and inversions. Under the Video tab you can watch clips that teach you how to play numerous popular songs.
