Whrrl is a neat networking site that lets you send stories and pictures directly to any camera phone. Update fans with what you are doing: send the latest band picture, describe your tour road trip, remind them of album releases. It is like Twitter plus pictures, sent by SMS.
You can sync all of your updates to your Twitter and Facebook accounts, so even people not signed up to receive texts can see the latest news. There is a counter so you can see how many people have viewed the story online and on their phones. They can also leave comments, so you get to hear feedback directly from your fans. You may also edit your updates by computer if you need to make any changes later.
