Famecast is a neat web presence where you can use contests to get discovered by new fans. Every month bands and artists work on increasing their fan appeal, which is referred to as their Buzz Factor. You can do this by making a free profile and adding songs, videos, and more. Each month, a band is chosen as the winner and every three months one of those winners will be declared a Famecast Fenom.
It might sound a bit cheesy, but winning this award is not silly. It comes with $20,000 and countless opportunities. Past winners have received top of the line gear, mentorships from music stars, writeups in national magazines, and gigs at huge music festivals like Lollapalooza. And all of these things would look great on your press kit.
