Full Description

With a podcast you can introduce yourself to fans and make them feel like part of a community. You could read fan messages to keep in touch or even make a tour podcast so your listeners will feel like they are on the road with you.

A site that will help a lot, especially for first-time podcasters, is My Podcast. This site will guide you every step of the way, and it’s all free. First, they offer software for recording your podcast episodes. When you are finished, My Podcast will publish the episode, put it up on your profile page, and add it to their massive directory of other podcasts. After that fans will be able to listen to your episodes. And you can make as many as you want; My Podcast has no storage or bandwidth limits!

Of course, there is a small catch. The recording software automatically allocates breaks in each of the episodes to insert advertisements. My Podcast states that they never use spyware and promises sophisticated and clean advertisements. But, having ads in your podcast does provide one benefit: for every listener who tunes into your podcast you can share in the ad revenue. The more popular your podcast, the more money you earn.
