Disqus is a comment system that lets your fans post comments and responses to your blog entries and site pages. Unlike your blog’s default comment system, Disqus has a lot of unique and interactive options.
Instead of just plain text, your users can leave video comments and rate discussions. Also, good discussions do not have to fizzle out as your fans can respond through email and text messages. You can promote involvement in the site discussions by sharing them on your social networking pages with customizable widgets. The point is to turn participants into your band’s community members. Disqus gives you great administrative control as you can moderate discussions on multiple sites at once and receive statistics about usage.
