Hiya. I read diy music manual and am going the creative commons route with my music I think. Lucky me I have a background in computing so am having a go at doing my website with wordpress right now. Does anyone here know any good discussion forums for wordpress/php etc where I can ask questions of friendly people more experienced than myself? I'm tired of hunting around on the web for answers:-).
good vibes to all you forward thinking musicians! Rob Posted on 2009-10-15 04:59:51 |

I like bbpress in conjunction with Wordpress. It'll use the same user table. Posted on 2009-10-26 13:39:42 |

Hey, If you want some Wordpress help, there are heaps of sites that offer Wordpress tips and advice. Check out www.yoast.com or www.wpblogger.com for a couple of examples. Of course, if you haven't already you really should start with the wordpress codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/ Once you get into it a bit, try joining some paid forums like http://www.problogger.com/forum/index.php - I find lots of useful WP and non-WP advice in there. Also, check out the Thesis theme by http://diythemes.com/ - it is rock solid and very powerful. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the info guys. A few months on and I've got my wordpress site up and running: www.phoeniximago.com. Any comments or suggestions would be very welcome. I'm currently working on the new version with many changes to sort out some of the design flaws so I'll be using your forum suggestions I should think. All in all I'm quite please with it tho;-) Rob Posted on 2010-02-27 04:52:51 |
