John Lennon Songwriting Contest (description)

The John Lennon Songwriting Contest is an international songwriting contest that dates back to 1997. It's open to both indie and professional songwriters. Usually there are 12 categories in which to enter. The contest is open year-round and features two sessions throughout the year.

Songs are judged on their merits - not the quailty of the recording.
