How To Use Free Online Calendars To Coordinate Your Band (directions)
1. Make a Google/Yahoo/Windows Live account
If you do not have one of these free accounts, you will need it to make calendars.
2. Find the Calendar tab to begin making your calendar.
3. Add all of your upcoming gigs and rehearsal dates and times.
Fill in other important details like location, dress code, etc.
4. Add all of the times you are free and looking to book gigs.
Create blocks of time labeled as open on nights that you want to book gigs. You can share these dates with bookers, so they can easily see your availability. Also, your band mates will be able to see which nights they need to keep open in case a gig is booked.
4. Add holidays to your calendar.
There are pre-made calendars that you can add onto your existing calendars. Add a holiday calendar to make sure you will not accidentally book a show or have a rehearsal on an important holiday.
5. Invite your bandmates by going to the Permission Settings menu.
There will be a box to add all of your bandmates' email addresses to give them permission to view the calendar.
6. Regularly update your calendar when new events are booked.
Add new gigs as soon as you find out about them.
7. Tell everyone to set up calendar alerts.
Each viewer of the calendar can set up email and/or text message alerts to remind them of upcoming events.
